What is an AVA? Sure, The official definition "An American Viticultural Area (AVA) is a designated wine grape-growing region in the United States distinguishable by geographic features, with boundaries defined by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) of the United States Department of the Treasury."  What does that mean to you? It means that our government has acknowledged that the grape growing environment in Malibu is so unique and yummy we get to label wines grown in our area as 'made in malibu'.  So when you see NAPA or SONOMA on your next bottle of wine? You can also now look for MALIBU COAST and truly sip the sunshine of our beautiful community.

Cheers!
